Verzap is owned and operated by VERZAP TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED (RC 9643041), a company registered in Nigeria ("we", "our", or "us"). We operate the Verzap platform, an AI-powered WhatsApp automation service for businesses. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform, including our website, dashboard, mobile application, and WhatsApp integration.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you register, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, business name, and business type.

WhatsApp Messages: We process messages sent to and from your WhatsApp Business number to provide AI responses, analytics, and conversation management. Messages are stored securely and associated with your business account.

Customer Data: We store information about your customers including their WhatsApp phone numbers, names (as provided via WhatsApp), conversation history, order history, and appointment records.

Payment Information: Payment processing is handled by Paystack. We do not store your card details. We retain subscription and transaction records.

Usage Data: We collect analytics on how you use the platform, including login activity, feature usage, and AI interaction metrics.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain our WhatsApp automation services

  • To provide analytics, insights, and business reports

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

  • Meta/WhatsApp: To send and receive messages via the WhatsApp Business API
  • AI Providers: Message content is sent to AI language models (e.g., OpenAI) to generate responses. No personal identifiers are included beyond the message content.
  • Paystack: For payment processing
  • Email Service Providers: To deliver transactional emails

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Conversation data is retained for up to 12 months after the last interaction. When you delete your account, your personal data and business data are permanently removed within 30 days. See our Data Deletion Policy for details.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, rate limiting, two-factor authentication, session management, and security audit logging. Access to production data is restricted and monitored.
